Dear Parents,
Welcome to first
grade! We are
writing to introduce ourselves as your child’s first grade teachers! Your child will have the unique opportunity
to be a part of a job share classroom this school year with Mrs. Nicole
Keifenheim and Mrs. Laura Hoban. We
hope that your family is having an enjoyable and relaxing summer. We look forward to an exciting and memorable
year at Zielanis Elementary School with your child.
Let us first
start by sharing some information about ourselves, professionally and
personally. It is Nicole
Keifenheim’s 13th year
of teaching in the primary grades. She currently resides in
her hometown of Fond du Lac with her husband Jason and four sons: Ellis, Cole,
Baker, and Jude. She received her Bachelor’s
degree in Elementary/Middle School Education from Marian College in 2001, and
completed her Master’s degree in Education in May 2005 from Cardinal Stritch
University in Milwaukee. She enjoys
spending time with her family, traveling, and READING. J
It is Laura
Hoban’s 12th year teaching.
She spent eight years teaching 5th grade math at Kiel Middle
School, and then three years teaching third grade at Zielanis. She is excited to get to teach first grade
this year! Laura lives in Kiel with her husband David and three daughters:
Sara, Katie, and Emily. She received her
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education from UW-La Crosse in
2003 and her Master’s degree from Walden University in 2006. Laura enjoys spending time with her family,
camping, reading, doing triathlons, and is training for her first
marathon.
First grade is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. We are looking forward to a very exciting and productive year working with your child. We will strive each day to make learning a fun and enriching process for your child. However, we need your help in making this year as successful as it can be! We believe that having parents as part of our “team” we can help your child develop emotionally and academically. YOU are the most important person and teacher in your child’s life.
