Three of a Kind!

The first graders had an excellent performance of their play, Three of a Kind.  They worked very hard and we are so proud of them!  Below are two links to a video of the play.  The first link will play the first half of the play and the second link will play the second half of the play. A Guest Reader!

We were very lucky today to have Aaron's grandmpa, Mr. Kiel, here to read the students a story he wrote.  They listened attentively and really enojed his story.  He also brought them ice cream sandwiches! Then many of them shared the stories they have been busy writing!

Hobby and Career Day!

We had a blast this afternoon at our three Hobby and Career Day classes.  The students got to make goo and water tornadoes in science class, learned about a hunting dog and watched him chase down a pigeon, and then learned how to play volleyball.  Here are pictures from our afternoon!

Pizza Lunch Reward!

Here we are enjoying our Pizza Lunch "reward" the class earned!!  Thank you again to all the parents who sent in fruits/veggies to complete our lunch:-)  It made it that much more special! The kids were wonderful and very thankful!

Vocabulary Parade!!!

Aaron spelled out VOCABULARY PARADE with our snack.  We had "letters" for snack in honor of our vocabulary parade this morning!

Junior Achievement

We get to have Junior Acheivement in our classroom!  Today the students learned about various jobs. They also got to give clues to get another student to guess what job it was that was on a sheet of paper held over their head.  Then they each got to each think of a job they can do at home to help out, such as cleaning the windows, water plants, or cleaning up the table after eating.
